One of our employees sent me an email with the link below. As you know, I pass on items I find interesting whether they are serious, funny, or inspirational. As you click on the link below, and I hope you will, this somewhat fits in with something that I mention fairly often about attitudes.

I have often made the statement that the only thing you can control in this life is your attitude. Whether you live or die, stay healthy or get sick, become rich or go broke, get married or divorced, stay employed or get fired, drive a new car or a clunker, get fat or stay thin; the one thing in any of the above and a myriad host of almost anything I can think of is your attitude in each of those situations. Your attitude and how much effort you put forth can make all the difference in the world.

People often say “you make me mad”. The correct statement is “you make me make myself mad”. Once again, you control your reactions to situations or your attitude to situations. You control your effort or attitude toward how hard you will seek to be the best; to stand out from the crowd. As the link below points out, sometimes the margin of winning is very slim, but it has taken all you have to give and then some. Your attitude and the effort that backs it is what will take you and Cornerstone from good to great.
