A new day of infamy.
All
of you are now aware of the incomprehensible
tragedy that has struck this country.
If you are like me, you are in some shock,
and everything seems surreal.
We
cannot, at this time do anything for those
afflicted, those who have lost loved ones,
those who are horribly injured, and those
rescuers who are facing an incredibly
gruesome duty.
We
can pray for all involved, we can pray
for this country and it’s leaders
to have wisdom in just how to respond.
We can pray for each other.
For
those of us who are angry with our mate,
or a friend, or a co-worker, for those
of us aggravated about job, money or whatever
causes us grief, we can pause and take
the time to put things in perspective.
As I went around this morning running
some errands, and listening to the reports
coming over the airwaves, I wondered why
I spend so much time being impatient with
the drivers around me, the clerk who hasn’t
jumped to help me quite quick enough,
or the time I spend fuming over voice
mail and all of the things in today’s
world that causes stress. Folks, I don’t
have any stress. Stress is what has and
is happening in New York and Washington,
D. C.
I’m
going to try and put some things in perspective,
and I am going to be praying for the thousands
of people whose lives have been forever
damaged and changed.
May
God bless this country.
