SYSTEMS ADDING WAREHOUSE SPACE
Memphis, TN, July
28, 2006 -- Cornerstone Systems, a leading nationwide

announces the addition of a new warehouse facility
in Chesapeake, Virginia.
Guy Wallace, Associate
VP – Sales for Cornerstone’s Portsmouth, VA office,
says the new facility will add over 50,000 sq. ft.
of warehouse space to the company’s operations there.
“The close proximity to the interstate system and
local terminals makes this an ideal location to better
serve the transportation needs of the area”, said
Wallace. “We are within ten miles of the terminals
for Norfolk International, Portsmouth Marine, and
Newport News, as well as the new Maersk APM facility.”
With a total of 14 outside doors, the warehouse will
be able to process 28 trucks per hour, and will specialize
in transloads, overweight containers, and repackaging,
with potential for long-term storage as well. The
facility will open on August 1, 2006.
The Norfolk area
serves as a prime receiver of imported goods due to
the deep draft Port of Hampton Roads. “The port is
able to receive larger ships coming to the U.S. through
the Suez Canal. Due to this fact, and the overuse
of the west coast ports, Norfolk, with its central
U.S. location, is looking for 250% growth in shipping
over the next five years, and we are anticipating
that growth with our new facility” said Wallace.

been expanding our Port offerings on the Eastern seaboard
