Subject: Six Years
Greetings,
It
was six years ago that most of us witnessed
one of the most horrific events imaginable.
Much like I can remember exactly where
I was and what I was doing when President
Kennedy was shot, that image on TV of
those towers in flames and then collapsing
will forever be burned in my memory. Many
lives were forever changed on that date
and thousands of others due to various
medical problems that surfaced later from
breathing deadly air around the pile of
rubble that was once The World Trade Center.
I
was going to write about that day and
what has happened in the last six years
to the world, this country, and our company.
I couldn’t come up with anything worth
your time to read. Enough has been said,
shown, and too many relive the tragedy
every day of their lives. On this anniversary
I thought I would ask that those of you
who pray would pray for all who lost loved
ones; that you would pray for those that
have developed chronic coughs and diseases
because they spent weeks or months excavating
that horrible site. I would ask that you
pray for this country and its safety because
those who wish us harm are still hard
at it. I would ask that we pray for those
running for office, specifically the Presidency.
I’m afraid this is going to get ugly again,
and I don’t believe that serves us well.
I would love to see some rousing debates,
and I mean debates, not these scripted
question and answer shows. We deserve
better than what the election process
has turned into.
Finally,
remember those who serve in harms way.
They serve and keep serving and even re-enlist
because they want to help and be with
their “buddies”. That is a quality and
devotion that is alien to many of us.
Be
safe and God Bless.
