Greetings.....I wanted to pass along some great news as well as an acknowledgement of some great efforts by people here at Cornerstone. Mattel Corporation, Tessa Lloyd’s account, has just named Cornerstone as their Intermodal Carrier of the year for the second straight year! In addition, a new award for individual excellence titled Power Performer was awarded to Marcia Stowe of our Toy Team.

We all know the difficulty in moving freight like toys, and to have one of the premier toy companies in the world recognize Cornerstone and Marcia in the manner they did is quite an accolade. Some of the comments sent in by the various Mattel folk that we deal with were: “Able to meet last minute needs during busiest time of year”, “Cornerstone is always on top of our freight and sends timely information as well as being eager to do anything to help”, “Marcia Stowe at CS always gave excellent service delivering our product to Toys R Us”,”CS is the one carrier we used the most because their service level is above any other intermodal carrier”, Jessica Garmmel has provided excellent customer service and commitment to COI Distribution Center. She ensured that our equipment needs were met”. There is more, but you get the idea, Mattel people from top to bottom like what we do and appreciate it enough to hand out these awards.

My personal thanks and congratulations to Tessa, the Toy Team, Marcia, Jessica, and all of you from rates to accounting that do your jobs so well. I am extremely pleased that we have won this award again. That is a feat not often done in today’s competitive world.
