Sherri
Tipton (Cornerstone – Memphis, TN) is
not a person who lacks energy. Whether it’s
being a successful sales representative for
Cornerstone or helping out others, Sherri is
always driving forward to be the best that she
can be. Two and a half years ago Sherri learned
that Tipton
Rosemark Academy (TRA) needed used ink cartridges
and she rallied to the cause. Coordinating efforts
with Cornerstone Systems she collected and delivered
used printer cartridges to TRA which is a practice
she still continues today. Once collected, TRA
ships the cartridges off to Funding Factory
for recycling. The academy is then awarded points
which are converted into cash. Most small private
schools like TRA depend almost entirely on tuition
for funding and fund raisers such as this to
provide the children and the school with important
extras. Cornerstone’s contributions have
helped purchase four beautiful trophy cases
which display student trophies and awards, four
27” televisions, a laptop computer to
improve classroom instruction through technology,
projections screens and various desktop computers.
TRA is diligently seeking to increase technology
in their classrooms and Cornerstone, in partnership
with Sherri Tipton, is glad to help.
Tipton
Rosemark Academy began in 1965 when a group
of citizens became concerned about the quality
of their children’s education when prayer
and the Bible were removed from public schools.
These citizens established an elementary school
(1-8) in a house and called it Tipton Academy.
Through years of continued growth, today’s
Tipton Rosemark Academy is known as a non-profit,
non-denominational school of academic excellence
with grades preschool through twelve (JrK-12).
