Volunteers
from Cornerstone rallied again this year to
help the children in need at Youth Villages.
Amy Crisp and Paulette Snell joined an army
of volunteers serving soup to thousands flocking
to the FedEx Forum for the 17th annual Soup
Sunday. Nearly 60 Memphis-area restaurants handed
out soup, specialty items, bread and dessert
raising approximately $70,000 for Youth Villages,
a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping
troubled children and their families.
Quoted
in the Memphis Commercial Appeal, John Crisp
(Amy’s husband) handed out cups of red
beans and rice at the Rendezvous booth “I
don’t know how many pans we’ve gone
through, but it’s plenty and the line
never ends. I guess like everybody else, I’m
just glad to help Youth Villages”.
